Trying something new... [25 Mar 2006|07:17pm]

Well, this didn't work as I'd hoped last time, so here's what I'm going to do.  I'm going to make one post with a whole ton of stuff in it, and it's first-come, first serve.  Just make an offer.

Some of this craft stuff goes in groups.  If you want to make an offer for a group (all the candles, for example) go ahead!  Just make sure it's a group of stuff that makes sense (and I can figure out all what you want).

The first week -- a two for one, in two ways! PS1s. [14 Mar 2006|03:55pm]

I'd like to start off with a bang.  I want to generally post on Sundays, and it's already Tuesday.

So I'm going to offer two things and make it last until next Sunday!

I have two Playstation 1s that I got from a friend for free and have never hooked up.  I don't know if they work but I suspect that they do.  They look just ducky, no big mars or marks -- I'll post a picture when I get home -- but they're just the boxes, no cords or anything.

They'd make great DDR boxes or gaming systems for a younger kid.

If anyone local has a PS1 and will let me hook these up to see if they work, that'd be great.

Deadline for offers is March 24th!

ETA: Pictures!

Salutations.

What is this community?

I've decided to simplify my life.  I have a lot of things I don't want to throw away, and my local freecycle community never made me happy.

And I hate giving things to people with no idea if they're really going to use them.

So, here's Something for Nothing.  Every week I will take a picture of what I am going to give away, and post it here on the community.  Comment with what you'll offer in return.  What you're going too offer MUST be intangible to me.

For instance, things I'll accept:

Stories/music/songs/online art by you, either written for me or previously inaccessable to me.
Invitations or tickets to events or experiences I can get to.
Donations to charities or other individuals.
Advice, help, friendly words.
Hugs!
Time or talent.

Anything that in the end leaves me empty-handed.   It doesn't have to cost money.  It doesn't have to be 'worth' anything to anyone but you and I, and the worth to me is in the trading.

A few bits of fine printCollapse )
